Snoop Dogg and P Diddy have cancelled the UK portion of their Puff Puff Pass the Snoop tour.
Rapper Snoop Dogg and P Diddy will not be playing tonight at London’s Wembley’s Arena as planned. Snoop Dogg was denied a visa to enter the UK preventing the continuation of his “Puff Puff Pass the Snoop” European tour of London, Manchester, Glasgow, Cardiff and Nottingham. The man who raps “smoke weed everyday” was stopped by police in Stockholm, Sweden two weeks ago on his way to a party with a Brazilian female companion. A small amount of unidentified narcotics were found in the car and Snoop was questioned, given a drug test and held in jail overnight before being released, with a warning that he could be fined 120 pounds if the test comes back dirty.
Snoop Dogg was already warned last year after being arrested on suspicion of violent discorder at Heathrow airport. He also faces weapons and drug charges in the US after three arrests last year. Snoop Dogg’s spokesperson says the star is “mystified” by the decision and hopes the British government will reconsider allowing him to perform in the UK, which he saw as the highlight of his tour. The British Home Office has exercised its power to deny entrance to individuals whose presence in the country “would not be conducive to the public good.” P Diddy thought he would perform at Wembley’s Arena tonight regardless but cancelled as it was “too late to reconfigure the show” a spokesperson said. Snoop will have to stick to “Gin and Juice” if he wants to get back on Britain’s good side.
The two performed in Paris on March 21st.
