The modern online blog form and blogger phenomenon has evolved from the published diary, by writers who called themselves diarists, journalists, or journalers. One such diarist who has inspired some of my own writing, is Anaïs Nin. Continuing in the diarist / blogger tradition, I blog as a means to write regularly. Receiving the instant gratification that comes from making my words immediately public, and being able to track the numbers of readers reading me, inspires and motivates me immensely. Doing it in the context of the wide and eclectic world of the Inter-web, prompts me to cease pondering every word and idea for hours and helps keep it fun for me and accessible for you.
