In 2007, I ran away from the cold, grey winters of Montreal to live in Barcelona and teach ESL in a tiny suburb called Premia del Mar, at a strange little school run by a pathologically cheap Belgian lady.
Amongst the amazing cast of characters also playing at being ESL teachers, I met a man who, in his spare time, produced a monthly radio serial, which airs on London’s Resonance FM, as The Bing Selfish Radio Show. I soon became a voice actor for these great, satirical radio dramas of his, about an imaginary Empire where selfishness reigns, playing such fun characters as a world weary detective, a jaded country singer and a puritanical and very clean Christian lady.
